10 October: Conversation Starter for Instagram, Free Meta Whatsapp Number and Webhook Customization
New Feature: Conversation Starters for Instagram Channel
We’ve added a new “Conversation Starters” section to the Instagram Channel page under Settings → Instagram Channel.
With this update, businesses can now create interactive ice breakers to help initiate conversations directly on Instagram.
Key Details:
You can enable Conversation Starters from your Instagram Channel settings.
Add up to 4 ice breakers per connected Instagram Business account.
Each ice breaker can be up to 80 characters long.
You can add, edit, or delete starter questions anytime.
Example (E-commerce Business – T-shirt Store):
“Looking for our latest graphic tees?” “Need help finding your size?” “Want to know our ongoing offers?”
This helps engage customers instantly and guide them toward relevant information or products.
Meta Free WhatsApp Number Notification & Banner
We’ve added an alert and banner to improve clarity when connecting free WhatsApp Business numbers via Meta.
Key Details:
An alert now appears when connecting a free WhatsApp Business number, informing users about display name approval requirements and feature limitations — while still allowing the connection.
A persistent banner will remain visible on the Channel page until the number is approved, encouraging users to upgrade to a paid WhatsApp API number for full access to advanced features and higher messaging limits.
This helps ensure users are fully aware of the restrictions and benefits before proceeding with their WhatsApp setup.
Enhancement: Custom Naming for Webhook Configuration
We’ve introduced the ability to add custom names for webhook configurations within the platform.
Key Details:
A new mandatory “Webhook Name” field has been added to help users easily identify and manage webhooks in lists and logs.
Existing webhooks have been auto-assigned default names for continuity.
Users can rename webhooks anytime for better clarity, organization, and tracking.
This enhancement improves visibility and management of multiple webhook integrations across channels.
