WhatsApp Widget: UTM Tracking Added
What was missing earlier?
When a customer started a WhatsApp chat from your website widget, you could not see where the customer came from (e.g., which page, ad, or link).
What’s new now?
We now capture UTM parameters (like source, medium, campaign) when someone starts a conversation through your WhatsApp Web Widget.
Why this is useful:
● You can see exactly how customers found you.
● This information is saved directly in the contact’s profile.
● It becomes easy to sync this data to your CRM or automation tools.
Step-by-step guide on how it works:
A customer clicks the WhatsApp widget on your website
The system reads the UTM details from the page URL.
These UTM values (source, medium, campaign, etc.) are saved automatically in the contact record.
You can now use this information for reporting, CRM syncing, or tracking conversions.
